I was in Singapore last week, and the first thing I Googled after settling down in the city, was “singapore espresso“. It didn’t take too long to decide, as the results from blogsphere were significantly leaning towards Highlander Coffee.

Highlander Coffee is not just a coffee bar, but a roastery and academy too! In other words, these people are professional.

Highlander Coffee

The coffee bar opens from 9am-6pm. Oh man… 6pm was kinda early. I finished my appointment at 5pm, and rushed to Kampong Bahru (by aligning to Outram Park SMRT station) before it was closed by 6pm.

In half an hour, I started with a Cappuccino, followed by another 2 shots of Espresso. Well, I think that explains quite well on my satisfaction with this coffee bar.

Cappuccino, Highlander Coffee

If you have been satisfied with Cappuccino prepared by the chains like Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, then you must give this a try. It will elevate your expectation next time ;)

Espresso, Highlander Coffee

Correctly done, round-tasting Espresso

I went to Highlander Coffee by SMRT. After aligning at Outram Park, I proceeded to Exit G (Police Complex). At Exit G, I came to a cross-junction. Walked towards the direction of Jalan Bukit Merah, and I passed through Police Complex on my left, New Bridge Road Bus Terminal on my right. Continued walking forward, I came to a row of old shoplots on my left, and Highlander Coffee was located somewhere in between that row.
